Over the years we have offered an assortment of lunchtime and after school clubs. See below for a selection of them.
Art Club - Year 1 & 2
The children in this lunch time club have a chance to make lots of exciting creations. This term they have made these delightful ceramic candle holders.
Art and Crafts
A weekly after school club for the juniors gives small groups opportunities to further develop skills learnt in class.
This class 6 club have made several exciting creations over the years. We have made recently these magnificent ceramic ships using the slab method and for Easter we made these super bunnies and eggs using 2 pinch pots joined together.
Choir and Band
Many of our excellent musicians represent the school in our band and choirs. We really enjoy the fruits of their work at end of term services and on many other occasions.
Years 1 and 2 enjoy country dancing club every Monday. They learn lots of local folk dances!
Our school environment is very important and the Gardening group help to keep it looking smart.
In computer club we have opportunities to use the camera, to produce displays and produce power point presentations.
Teaching year 6 to cook has its challenges but the end result is gorgeous. We have prepared and cooked pizzas, fairy cakes, jam and treacle tarts and fruit salad with "langues de chat" biscuits so far this term. A skill for life.
Some of the older children meet after school to make all sorts of exciting things. So far we have made slime (sticky), Cartesian divers (amazing), the longest straw that worked (tiring) and investigated water pressure. Coming up are experiments with colour, gravity and crystals. We can do Science we can!!
